According to the English Springer spaniel history it is the creator of every English spaniels that was used for hunting. There were many other breeds that were made from the English Springer Spaniel. Earlier they were thought to be of similar breed as the Cocker Spaniel. The small ones were regarded as Cockers which hunted for woodcock. The bigger dogs were the English Springer’s. They were used to jump on the prey and flush out thus this is how the dog got its name.

The English springer spaniel characteristics include it is a solid dog which is medium in size. Its head is proportionate to the body. It has a broad skull that is not very long nd the top is flat. The head and the neck are same in length. The color of the nose depends on the color of the coat. The eyes are oval shaped and medium in size and dark brown or hazel in color. The ears are long and wide and chest is deep and the tails is usually docked. The English Springer’s are imperturbable, kind, friendly, and friendly dogs so are very good as companions for children.

The English springer spaniel training is easy as they are very intelligent, and quick to learn things. They are also very competent, enthusiastic and obedient as well as daring, playful, full of life, pleasant and joyful to be with. They follow instructions and rules clearly and are insightful of the pitch of a person’s voice. The trainer should be able to give commands and get the instructions followed in a calm way..

Some English Springers health problems include they have epilepsy and other diseases which has effect on the eyes and a type of blood disorder. They may also have hip dysplasia. They have tendency to gain weight very easily so over feeding them is not good.
 
Other English springer spaniel information includes its longevity is about twelve to fourteen years. The male English springer spaniel is 19-21 inches tall while the female is 18-20 inches tall. The English Springer males may weigh up to 45-55 pounds while the bitches weigh about 40-50 pounds.

English Springer Spaniels puppies are quite inactive within the house and so need at least a small yard for activity. They can also be kept in apartments provided they are given ample of exercise to do and keep them active. They should be taken for long walks as well as jogs daily and also enjoy running and playing without the leash. Apart from this they are keen  to get back things and swim.

English Springer Spaniels adoption is a good choice as they adapt themselves very well to life in a town as well as city. It is not difficult to take care of the Springers coat as all it needs is to be brushed regularly with a firm hair brush. They should be given baths and shampooed only if necessary but the ears need to be checked regularly for infections. The Springer is known to be a constant average shedder.
