According to the Jack Russell Terrier history it has got its name after Rev.J.Russel who was a clergyman. During the mid-Eighteen hundreds the dog was hunting of small preys like the red fox and the quarry. There are two types of Jack Russell Terriers one which is used for shows and the other was the working breed.

As it is extremely sensitive it needs to be trained with gentleness as well as calmness and patience. It responds very well when corrected. It needs to be trained properly from a very young age as it has a nature which is very dominating. Rules for it to be followed need to be specified very distinctly to it.

 

The Jack Russell Terrier puppies are very cheery, happy, loyal and affectionate as well as strong-willed and compliant, vigilant and daring.  They love playing different kinds of sports and with various types of toys thus excellent with children. They are very energetic and need lots of exercise.

It may also suffer from a disease called small dog syndrome is not handled properly and trained

 

The Jack Russell Terrier adoption is a good choice for people who live in apartments as they are extremely active within the house and need a small area or extra space for playing and other activities. Apart from this they should be given ample of exercise in order to keep mentally and physically healthy. They are required to be taken for walks and jogging daily.

 

Grooming of the coat of the Jack Russell Terrier is not tough as all it needs s to be combed and brushed everyday with a stiff coat brush and it should be given bath only when very essential.
