According to the Samoyeds history it is a very old working dog. They got their name from Samoyeds who were the fishermen and hunters of Siberia as they lived with them. They were bought to England by a traveler in Eighteen hundred and eighty nine only. The Samoyed was accepted as a breed by the American Kennel Club in Nineteen hundred and six only.
The Samoyed characteristics include it has a body which is sturdy as well as muscular. The head of the Samoyed is shaped like a wedge and is large and a little crowned. The color of the nose can be black or brown and the teeth meet like the bite of scissors. The Samoyed has black lips. The coat of the Samoyed is double and fluffy and needs to be brushed regularly but the coat remains white even when it is not given bath regularly.
